Working at Merck

I joined Merck as a consultant, brought over to the Clinical organization to lead the development of an electronic Clinical Data Project (eCD) by my former boss, the CTO at CoreTech Consulting.  We were moving from paper based trials to digital, in an effort to realize the tremendous value to be found in reducing overall cycle times.

After joining Merck as a consultant, I moved into more senior leadership roles as an employee. I managed multiple software design, development, infrastructure, and support and operations groups for a $100 million plus business unit of Merck. I worked closely with the business executive leadership to set both business and technology priorities while working with the Merck IT leadership to staff and manage projects across multiple locations and teams. I also worked closely with Merck Capital Ventures group and Microsoft to evaluate and support investment opportunities. After the successful launch of the electronic Clinical Data Project (eCD), I built and led a technology R&D group charged with forward thinking to guide future strategies.
